Rob Idink is the Country General Manager for the Printing and Personal Systems Group (PPS) in the Netherlands. In this role he bears overall profit-and-loss responsibility for the Printing and PC businesses, with specific responsibility for sales, marketing, earnings, customer- and employee satisfaction and long-term growth planning in all segments. Next to this, he is a board member in this subsidiary with overall lead responsibility in the area of the HP’s channel. Finally, he is a board member of ICT Nederland (Portfolio Durability/Environment) and a board member of the Sales Management Association (SMA) since 2014.


Rob joined Compaq in the Netherlands in 1996 and subsequently occupied a number of European director roles at Hewlett-Packard based in Germany and France. In these roles he had profit-and-loss responsibility for these operations across EMEA. In 1999, he was honored for his contribution to the company with the “Employee of the Year award” for Compaq in the Netherlands and received an award for “Best Team” in Compaq EMEA in 2002. Finally, he won the industry award for “Hardware Vendor of the Year” (Computable – Netherlands; 2008, 2009, 2010) and industry award for “Channel Hardware Vendor of the Year” (Channel World – Netherlands; 2008, 2009, 2010). He was awarded Commercial Director of the Year 2011 in the Netherlands by the Sales Management Association (SMA) and most recently received an award as Most Influential Commercial Leader 2013 in the Netherlands by SMA.


He is known for his customer-centric business approach and motivational leadership style. In his work, he combines vision with a strong drive for execution and true passion for customers. Rob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Economics from the Rotterdam Business School (HES) and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He studied as part of his studies at the University of Georgia in the USA and studied at the University of Sevilla, Spain.
